The socks I knit as my January Socks are for my grandson, Ryan. I used Buttons Yarn and an Ann Norling pattern. I had high hopes of making a pair of socks for my mom as my January socks, using Dream in Color yarn and a pattern from the Sensational Socks book. But between my mom going in the hospital, being layed off from a civil engineering firm and having to find a new job it just didn't happen. (I am now working as a receptionist at a small animal hospital which I've done before and loved.) 2008 - whack, whack...ouch!!!
